Haven't dealt with Adsense in a while. Isn't the signup process instantly approved? Try again or send an email to Google.

Ask Adsense. They will know why, we won't

No.
Although I would like to know how they approved adsense on two sites that already had adsense on it, which is what happened to me.

What is their mail?

Are you replying to me ?

I didn't get an email from them. I designed and maintained two sites [for almost free] for a number of years. I had adsense on those sites.

The owners decided to "sack" me and gave a list of lies as to why. I proved all those lies to them, but that did not stop them. They do not have other sites, but all of a sudden, my adsense code was replaced with theirs. I am suprised that they allowed it. My guess is that they registered adsense with someone elses site [with that persons permission] and once approved, overwrote the code.

I don't care now because I am having so much fun watching them screw their sites up and dropping in the SERPS.

Why do you assume one cannot sign up for a new account with a site that has existing adsense ads from an already existing account on it ?

Simply because adsense staff told me so.
I had an account that I wanted closed and open up a new one. They would not approve it until the old code was removed.

Also, I know of someone else who appied for adsense and was turned down because adsense was already on the site.

Well in that case it might be a changed policy or some other machinery inside Google's decision process, cause the account I'm now using was approved with a site already running adsense (from another account obviously).

It's possible as the email I received was over a year ago, and the person who applied and received a decline was about 3 years ago.
