Thanks to big Al telling everyone that the UK economy downturn is likely to be the worst in 60 years the pound is taking a beating. Bad news for some, but when you're paid in dollars the exchange rate starts to look really good.

Well, my CTR and eCPM may have dropped off a bit, but at least my dollars have more value than toilet paper at last.

I've been predicting this for years, I just thought it would take a bit longer for the reality to come out

So...yes my Sterling earnings do look better:-)

Perhaps if the trend continues, you could defer your payment for a few months and make an extra few %.

GBP has certainly decreased in value against the US dollar, shame I have spare canadian dollars and Euros which don't seem to have changed much in value the past few months.

I wish I could, but alas I live off the income my website generates and the mortgage needs paying every moth :(

Looking very good, the pound has been too high for years. I would like to see it down at 1.6.

I read some analysis saying if goes below 1.8 then will go to 1.7.

Great stuff, though could do without the politics in posts.

I'm happy that the greenback is finally gaining some ground. I can't wait till it reaches pre-crisis levels of ~ 1.2 per euro :D One-on-one parity woud be even better I guess (also on a larger scale), but I don't see that happen anytime soon.

Down to $1.792 per pound according to XE.COM rigt now. Actually, just discovered if you Google GBP USD - they give you a recent(ish) rate as well.

How low can you go...?

In the short term it's good for those of us with £ earnings. But I'm not sure it matters one bit over the medium to long term.

As the £ loses ground against the $, advertisers with £ to spend will find that their money buys less $ based space. When that happens, wew loose out.

I guess it depends on where most of your advertisers are based. Our's are all US companies advertising to US consumers. UK traffic and advertisers minimal.

Swings and roundabouts. This could signal the end of bargain vacations to the US for many Brits. It's also not great for people like myself using an income from the UK to live abroad. A slightly better exchange rate on meagre Adsense earnings doesn't do too much to compensate.

EURUSD is falling quite rapidly now. A good thing :D
