Adsense for Feeds

Hello all,
Today I loggined to my adsense account and saw Adsense for Feeds. I wondered what happened to feedburner integration with adsense. When I tried to setup a feed, I found it easy but the odd thing is I don't see any ads after 10 mins. Now almost 6 hours passed and still no ads in google feeds proxy (A url given to me). Anyone having similar problem?

I implemented this yesterday on one of my feeds. Basically used the blogspot xml feed to burn a G proxy feed. As always, I wanted to pick my own colors for the ads and did. Then added the new feed to my Google reader. Voila. The normal AdSense ads are visible in the feed.

Very clever and works like a charm. Just need to figure out to redirect the feeds and display the new feed on the blogs.

And yes, I am hoping that it means more revenue, though, there are always those anti-advertisements types who want to soak up my content but do not realize that content is free only because advertising revenue pays employees and keeps the lights on. If they dump my feed, I won't shed a tear.

Do these ads appear when an external site includes your feeds on their pages?

Just for giggles, I created a feed with ads in it last night (approximately 12 hours ago) and I'm not seeing ads in the feed yet, either.

What this means is people writing feed readers will start filtering out the ads.

This will be very short lived.

@fredw Adsense support team migrated my all feeds today and setup one test feed again but nothing happened. May be ads are only visible to USA visitors?

@incrediBILL I don't think so its short lived. I have many email subscribers. It would be nice if ads appear in email too.

Sorry I am confused. Does this mean you can add ads to your RSS feeds that appear on other peoples websites?

Added:

In the AS pages it says I must use Feedburner. What is that?

At the moment I have an RSS feed which is featured on hundreds of sites around the world.

Should I be using Feedburner for something I do not know about?

Yes, you have to use Google Feedburner, which means your feed would have a different address from your current one. However, there is a feed redirect feature, which I assume is designed to handle people that are signed up under your old feed address.

BTW, more than 24 hours, stlll no ads on my feed.

I was able to see ads in email. I have subscribed to my feeds and I daily get latest posts. Ads don't show when I open first time email, I accidentally refreshed the email page and saw ads under each post. The RSS system is not stable yet, I wont use it until its thoroughly tested.

Ads started to working, but they create 30px gaps between items.

I got email from Adsense Support, they said ads will only display in RSS reader. I tried with google reader and it worked. If you are opening your feeds from browser then you wont see ads. Try this [google.com...]

Any experiences now with income, CPM, EPC, compared with AdSense for content and for search?

This link leeds to feedburner stats at Google

So far 96 views of the feed,
181 clicks on items in the feed.

But 0 view and 0 clicks on the ads in the feeds.

The only thing we do not like is google requires a signup to feedburner account in order to display advertisements on our feeds.

Why ? our feed url is mydomain/myfeeds.xml rss etc.

Rest of the sites on internet known us from above url, programmatically this shall be difficult to change the above feed url to feedburner adsense ready urls.

Thanks, I see now ads, but they are by far not so good targeted as on my site.

Around 50% of ads are from the "Find Your love" type, only targeted to Austria, but not to my content.

So is the big question, what does it bring?

Seems my visit now shows up in the stats.

I clicked in the Google reader for the full feed.

Now I see 26 impressions in the section feeds of my AdSense stats.

Seems there had been in the full feed 26 ads.
Seems every single ad counts in the feed statistic.

The RSS feed hat about 500 accesses per day.

Since I installed it Friday in the evening,
there are only the impressions from my own visit, nothing else.

Seems it makes not so much sense.

I am agreed with you jetteroheller, I have more than 500 subscribers and ads also shown in emails but I still have no earning since the first day of feeds launch.

Looks like they might be still working on this because when they tested adsense for feeds with some beta testers, advertisements on this feeds appeared on all the websites who embedded this feeds anywhere.

Has anyone done this yet ? I understand that I will get a new URL for feeds (feedproxy.google.com instead of feeds.feedburner.com); nonetheless, my question is :

Is Google integrated a redirect so that my feed can stil be viewed from the feedburner URL ?
