Does this make sense?

Running adsense on a page and buying traffic from the "content network" and sending it to that page will get your account smart priced? To me it makes sense that if you follow G's logic the content network is lower quaility traffic and this being the case if you send this traffic to any page running adsense it means automatic smart pricing on that account. I've been running some affilaite products on a page with some adsense and buying traffic via adwords and I've noticed a bit of a dip in my EPC, this is the best solution I can come up with. I've already taken down the adsense and I'm sending Google less traffic as it "appears" that is what they want. Less = more right ?

I don't think so. If it's automatic, then it would be pretty easy to spot a pattern - run an AdWords campaign and revenue dips. Suspend the campaign and the revenue goes back up. I've never noticed anything clear cut like that.

Yeah maybe I am reaching but my main site is peak season right now, we are seeing an average ECPM of 5-6 this month compared to 8-9 in June. I'm sending about the same traffic now and my revenue is way down. When I back track the one thing that keeps popping out at me is the introduction of Google adwords traffic to a site running adsense.. This started in July (long weekend) and it's been down hill from there.

I just ran some calculations and the price per click is down down just over 20% from two months ago. That is quite a drop.

well.. it does seem that Google has some anti arbitrage measures in place for the last few months. banning adSense accounts for inappropriate business models..The QS slaps on adWords side.. and also cut in EPC (maybe?)... who knows.. might fit a pattern.
