link units question

For some reason, I found that a vertical link unit at the top of my page works well. The horizontal one does not.

But a single vertical block of links looks odd - too much white space on either side. Is there any prohibition against putting two link units next to each other?

I just tried it, and both seem to be doing well, look nice too. I just want to make sure there isn't something in the policies page I'm missing.

Nothing to worry. Do what works for you because on one page 3 link units are now allowed.
