Ok, just looked at Adsense recently (after awhile). Noticing these video ads (which used to be Beta last time I checked). I'm too lazy to search! haha (long day :) plus I want an interactive conversation :) These things any good? What do they show videos off Youtube and pay you for it? Seems like there is potential but I don't see them on any other sites, so.....

haha,

Does not convert very well and that is why they are good to place in a sidebar (160X600 option). If someone wants to watch a video this option is for them.

Hi CWebguy,

We are keen to collect publisher feedback on video units. If you try them out, please let us know how you found them, and how you feel we can improve them.

Dear AdSenseAdvisor,
We all love YouTube and can't imagine publishing or living without it. What we are missing is the ability to add YouTube videos that we like rather than rely on Google algo to pick (almost always) wrong video. After trying for months, I took them off because it turns out no one was watching them and for obvious reasons no one was clicking on the ads.

Suggestion:

We need the ability to pick specific videos. Please just provide us with access to all the approved videos and then we can pick the ones we want to embed (based on the content of that page) than to present irrelevant (sorry guys you are the best in text search but you have your work cut out for you in video and images) videos to our visitors.

Same here. My visitors are annoyed with those videos and go elsewhere if they are seen on my site.

If people like videos will go to You Tube directly, and not watching them in your site.

I personally I will never add You Tube videos in my site as an advertisement as it is now.

I could insert some if add additional information to my site but in this case I will select the appropriated video myself, not Google.

Good idea! I like the idea of videos that are relevant on a site. Because if it is relevant, it will add content/value to the site, if not, then thumbs down!

I'll let you know if I try, although not anytime soon. I need to get more traffic to the site I am considering first.

Thanks!

Although I took off a video unit from my site because of poor performance, I have to say that finding videos and channels was a horrible experience. You've got a long list of completly uninformative names (ex: sunshine188) that you have to pick from and just like the referrals at first, you have to build your ad unit from scratch whenever you want to add something new. And you're never really sure of the final result. I am a fan of Google's products and services, but google videos was a clear dud for me. The size options (at the time) were also too big for ads.

what about better sizes and pay per view instead of click? Can google make the video content all advertisement instead of whatever they are now?

Thanks for your feedback so far. I will communicate it to the team working on video units. If you have any more thoughts on how we can improve the feature, don't hesitate to let us know.

Thanks,
