The Adsense Program Policies page has a number of prohibitions against "sales or promotion of..." various things. For example "Sales or promotion of prescription drugs"

We all know what sales means. But what about promotion? If I have an article with information on a prescription drug, for example, is that considered "promotion?"

I would think not, it's just information, but of course, it doesn't matter what I think, just what Adsense thinks!

I think what G means is that you simply cannot put the code on a page saying buy Prozac for depression but it is perfectly fine to profile drugs, their risks/benefits, etc. as part of providing health information.

Why not ask Google?

What's the best way to do that? Is there an online form or email to send it to? Or should I use the Adsense Help Forum?

The way to ask Google is to cycle through their Help section from within the control panel. There's a link in there somewhere for contacting them. Can take a couple weeks before you get an answer.

Off hand, if your page has links to pharma sites, I would say it's probably not going to fly. I have heard about sites about other touchy subjects that were asked to remvove adsense.

With regards to this issue, of course your best source of info would be Google. But speaking from my own experience... they don't allow gambling-related content, but I have a page that has links to a few casinos. Not online casinos, but real ones. The article is about a certain location, and mentions that there are casinos in the area. The article highlights 3 or 4 of those casinos (about a paragraph on eachone), and provides links to the main website for each casino. This page has been up for years with no problems.
