Google doesn't post clicks and earnings real time, it doesn't post clicks and earnings at the same time, nor does it post them for corresponding time periods. G likes to play with our heads and keeps the daily data as non-transparent as possible.
The only time you can really "trust" the stats is the next day.
Make a game out of it, it will cheer you up. Try and count how many different things you look at and call into question, the lines of code you may have changed, page content, ad sizes, formats, positions, block lists, calendar events, seasonal trends.
Next week your earnings are back where they were but you're walking on eggshells for the next month. This stuff is all fun but there's a few scary moments too.
Would you share with me how that kind of heart attack feels like? perhaps I can have some good dreams tonight =) mine stayed ZERO for the whole day...
You know the first thought that comes to one's mind when something good happens "oh its a mistake" - that's what I thought!
But its a day later now and that number is still there so I have calmed down a little bit more!
Yesterday was my highest earnings day so far this month!
And I do try to make a game out of it - because otherwise it would make me crazy - er!
Sounds like if you just keep working it the way you are you just might wind up being a successful AdSense publisher.
lol good for you. i have been getting fraud clicks since last friday...that's another kind of heart attack...perhaps someone is attacking me...help...what should i do?
well adsense has such sophisticated technology that they use to identify invalid clicks so as long as its not YOU who is doing the invalid clicking then you don't have too much to worry about although if you are getting a lot of invalid clicks I would report it to adsense just the same!
