Can we use splash ads with adsense

ads with timer or "skip this ad" link

Hi,

Don't know what are they called so I am using term splash ads. Can we display adsense in a way that it shows a new page with ad and there is sentence written something like "Click here to go to article" or "Skip this ad" or may be some kind of javascript timer which will automatically redirect user to the actual article after say 5 seconds.

Are we allowed to do that?

I believe that would be called an "Interstitial" ad, and I agree with Hobbs, it's strictly verboten.

But even if it wasn't, it wouldn't work, anyway. The interstitial page has no content, how would Adsense target you properly?
