My adsense fell dramatically Wednesday. In looking at my sites, I found lots of spammy advertisers. I put them in my competitive ad filter, but after two days, some are still coming up on my sites.

I have tried:
www.widgets.com
widgets.com
www.widgets.com/abc/

What seems to work best for you to filter out unwanted advertisers?

www.widgets.com/abc/

Do not bother with anything else than widgets.com - there is (usually) no point in blocking directories or subdomains.

Some domains appear to be unblockable if you use the domain that shows up in the preview tool. In these (rare) cases you will want to try the display URL (shown in the ad copy) as well. Some members reported success using this approach.

Also, it pays off to be patient; at times it can take up to two/three days to see an ad go.

IMO such sites should be instantly banned from Adwords.

I usually use, domain.com and within a couple of days, the sites are gone. Every once in awhile I see one of those sites pop up again and then they are gone. Anyone else see this?
