#1 Is Firefox 3 going to be available through Referrals after it's released next Tuesday, and #2 if it is, how about some new creatives promoting it?

Please note that you can choose to update your AdSense login to a new Google account in order to keep your AdSense account separate from your existing Google account. When you follow the steps in the wizard, you'll see the option to create a new login and password just for your AdSense account.

Finally, please note that all publishers will soon be required to update their AdSense logins to Google Accounts.

AdSense Advisor.

My log in for Google AdSense and Google AdSense ARE the same and have been for a very, very long time.

Yes, mine too, I have always used my Google account as my AdSense login. I really don't want to have to create a new Google account.

My impression from the letter AdSense just sent was that we could choose if we wanted to use our old Google account or if we wanted to create a new account just for AdSense. I appreciated that it was a choice as different things work for different people.

It looked to me like AdSense was listening on this one.

This is part of the email:

In the coming weeks, we'll be requiring all publishers to update
their AdSense accounts to Google Accounts. Please note that once
we begin requiring Google Account logins, you won't be able to
access your account until you've updated your login.

I already use my Google account, but every time I login it prompts me to update my account. It doesn't seem to realize I AM using my Google account. I have been through this before and had to ask Google to delete the new account, which they did. The update didn't work properly, and it seems like the only solution is to create another Google account, which I really don't want to do.

Please stop crowding the new Firefox banners with an ugly out of color strip containing tools.google.com and Ads by Google. The banner already says Google, and the colors you put make the whole ad terribly ugly.

Lucky I still have my old code sans ugly strip, and I'm not switching to new code till you fix it.

Give us more information on placement ads.
Yes, I know you have given us a pretty ad review centre, but its fairly useless as it doesn't say what site the ad will display on, let alone what channel.
Come on, advertisers get to see what channels we have to offer - how about playing fair-is-fair and letting us see who wants to advertise on our channels? If I was x different people running my x sites then I'd know the site the advertisers was interested in. Why is it different just because I am running all my sites?

I'd also like to see placement ad code rewritten so that the placements don't get preference over far higher paying contextual ads.

This is a repeat request, for the second time:
In the Leaderboard size, when the ad description goes to a third line, the clickable url gets pushed down and clipped, that was fine before you made the description non clickable, this affects CTR and the look of the whole ad, please fix it.

Hobbs: Do you really think this is significant? If so, does that mean that 468x60 ad units are inherently inferior, because they never display a url, only a clickable title?

fred, if an ad is meant to display ad title, description and url, there is no reason why I should see only the top part of the url and the rest clipped, something is wrong if this happens and the page looks bad, I'm not sure I understand your question on significance or how is this related to other sizes and their performance, simply put, something is broken, it should get fixed, right?

Sorry, I missed the second part of what you said, that the link was getting cut off. I focused on the fact that the link that would normally be there is missing. Sorry 'bout that.

But your post brought up an interesting point, and I'm still wondering: Since the change to clickable space within the ads, are 468x60 ads, which now only have one place to click, as opposed to the two places to click in other ad unit sizes, less desirable from the publisher's standpoint?

no problem, at the risk of drifting out of topic, I'll quickly answer that visitors are already conditioned to click the underlined title and performance should not get hit too much, even improve long term with more relevant clicks (but I still would like to have my url clickable and visible as long as they show it)

The landing pages for the Firefox and Google Pack referrals are awful. Attention should be paid. I'm getting tons of clicks for these, but very few conversions, and after taking a look at the landing pages, now I know why.

I know this one is highly unlikely, but what the heck, I'll type it in anyway.

I love how Google Analytics lets you compare a site's traffic, sources, and other information between two date ranges. You just set the site button to compare, specify the two date ranges, and not only the graphs but all the stats show you (in blue and green) the comparisons for every metric.

It would be way cool to be able to do that (easily!) with AdSense, so, for example, I could compare this June with last June, the first quarter of the year to the current quarter, etc etc - only with impressions, clicks and earnings - even channels.

Just puttin' it out there.
