Will my domain name affect CPC?

This may sound like a strange question but...

I run quite a few websites, many on a similar topic. Though my main website earns a much lower CPC than the smaller sites. The quality of traffic is pretty much identical.

The other sites all earn a similar CPC, as I'd expect.

The only difference I can see with this one site, is that it has the word 'forums' in the url. Though the forums are only a tiny part of the website.

So is it feasible that this could effect my CPC? If so, what can I do?

Cheers

Paul

Normally I wouldn't think so, but you can try using a negative keyword in your keywords meta tag.

Like:
<meta name="keywords" content="-forums -forum">

It will affect the search terms that people use to find your site, which will affect the ads that are served.

I have a blogging web site with the word 'blog' in the domain and it earns about 10% CPM as another site that I operate with similar content, without 'blog' in the domain name. I've wondered about this for a while as my two sites are pretty good as an apples-to-apples comparison.
