Adsense for Search may show only a single ad unit

I have a website who is showing adsense on all site pages. I want to put on all pages Seach option via Adsense Search.I do not understand the text from Adsense policies regarding this:
" AdSense for search results pages may show only a single ad link unit in addition to the ads Google serves with the search results"

When i seach a word with adsense for search , a new page appear only with results from Google robot (so i cannot add other ads here).When i click on a result , a page of my site is opening and this page can contain or not adsense advertising units ?

If you host the search results page on your own site, that results page cannot have AdSense blocks on it in addition to the search results and ads that come with those. You can put one ad link unit on that page, but nothing else.
