I've checked the TOS of both, it would seem that any gadget approved by Google in their Gadgets database would be ok to run on a page with adsense.
However, their TOS says that RSS feeds (which is what I want to use the gadget for) can't be used with Adsense. Anyone know the rules on all this? Should I just send a message to Google about it?

Note that the ads are not actually in the Gadget, the Gadget just happens to be on a page where Adsense ads also are.
