Put the AdSense Code on a RSS feed?

I have recently set up a RSS stream from my sites, changing daily, with 20/25 articles per day. Some webmasters around the web are already using them on their sites.

I was thinking of embedding, a piece of news with my AdSense code, randomly, in one of the 25 news. By doing so the code might appear in any sites that are subscribing to my RSS feed? Right?

Will it work? or just get me booted from AdSense?

google would probably be the best place to get an answer, but I know that networks such as fastclick do display their own adsense ads on other websites (and split the commission), so in practice it is done.

I think that as per the AS TOS is is not allowed to include your AS code in a web site that is not under your control or so... meaning that the site needs to be yours or you having the control of the site to include it.

Also, you don't know if one of those webmasters is already or will be using their own AS code in the pages where they use the feed, so you could end up messing up the account for somebody else? or your own? beacuse double serving ads .. or two different AS publishers in the same page?

asp4bunnies ... ad networks such as Burst and Fastclick have been displaying adsense ads even before G offered it to the public. G is like any normal client that pays the banner networks to get their ads seen by member publisher sites of these networks. The difference is that the ads are in CPM basis (not cost per click).

So it is not as if Fastclick applied to G and then shows their code to their member sites and splits the income with member sites. G is a client of the banner ad networks. G's Adsense ad shows up in the RON selection only if G made a purchase for that month (there are months when G is a client, and months when the banner ad networks are not showing G's ads). So Fastclick is not doing what tommyleebyron intends to do.

In the Google AdSense FAQ's section on multiple sites, it says you have to own or be legally authorized to act on behalf of the sites where you place your code. On top of that, you have to ensure that the sites comply with program policies. If you put your code in an RSS feed, it could end up in all kinds of places -- big trouble.

If your feed is becoming popular why risk people ditching it because you started serving up ads instead of content.

IMHO, the real benefit of an RSS feed from a feed providers point of view is that it will drive traffic to your site which you can subsequently commercialise.

I have seen some tests on RSS advertising (not adsense).

This could be google's next launch - they already have blogs . . .
