Non-Clickable Arrow on Text Ad Block

Looks like an arrow that would indicate opening a new browser window

I just saw a site that displays a non-clickable arrow (not scroll arrows) on the same line as Ads by Google on all of the AdSense text ad blocks on the site. There are no scroll arrows on any of the ad blocks.

Is this a new feature (which wouldn't make sense since it's not clickable) or is this publisher modifying the ad code?

Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, I think I've seen this. Was it a square box with an arrow pointing up to one of the corners.

I tried clicking on the one I saw, thinking it would make the ads go full-screen or something, but nothing happened!

Exactly.
