Hi,

Please be aware that our engineers will be performing routine site maintenance from 10 am - 2 pm PDT this Saturday, April 12th. That's 6pm - 10pm GMT or 11.30pm - 3.30am IST on Saturday, or 4am - 8am EST on Sunday.

During this time, you will not be able to access your account, but your ad serving and reporting will not be affected.

ASA

Nice to know this in advance. It is like in my job where all interruptions are previously notified.

I really like the new format of announcements where you also mention the time in different geographic regions.

Every time they have maintenance, earning will drop.

Thanks for putting the GMT time

Yes I would have to agree about being grateful that you mentioned the different time zones (although I don't know how I'm going to be able to handle my adsense "fix" until the site is back up again)

This is the perfect day for MFA - JUNK sites to sneak onto your site and run ads... and you can't do anything about it.

That's the pattern. Less for you means more for G!

and reporting will not be affected

ASA, we lost 3 or 4 hours worth of earnings, I would like to opt out of future maintenances please.

I'm assuming a massive click dump is coming otherwise there will be riots in the streets.

OK, maybe just a small one man uprising on my street...

This notice was truly helpful. I just came in to see if there was a reason that reporting was behind/earnings were seriously down this morning and this totally allayed my concern. Thanks

Hobbs: ditto, LOL

I'm still missing about 12 hours' worth of stats... how does one see a click dump "in progress"?

A click dump refers to seeing a higher than normal increase in stats in a short period of time.

I don't think it's reasonable to expect that your stats are 12 hours behind when the system was down for under 4 hours. Saturday is the slowest day of the week for Internet activity.

phew!
Glad I am not the only one. I've just checked my stats now we are back online and I am about 100 clicks down for this time of day. I sure hope some kind of click dump is going to happen.

epc since maintainance is abnormally high

My EPC is pretty normal but my eCPM is high. It appears that eCPM is skewed because I don't think Impressions are up to date. Mine are abnormally low and CTR is high.

It's a Google Adsense Impression Reporting Delay(TM).

(May also be a delay in clicks too.)

It's post-maintenance delays. In a few hours it could be caught up again.

Or did I miss something?

yes. I picketed with my placard saying "No more Adsense maintenance" in downtown KL. Folks stopped to ask "wot's Add Cents"?

BTW... didn't notice until now that you're a mod...good on you incrediBill.

According to Analytics we're having one of our best Saturdays ever. I'm hoping Adsense is still running behind.

I thought the same thing when I read it yesterday so I looked it up. There are actually three different time zones that use the abbreviation EST. They are referring to one in Australia. Note that they used EST rather than EDT which would have been 1 PM to 5 PM EDT.

I was on Saturday underway. Coming home, the maintenance and after this, I got a shock.

I had a feeling like a pilot just seeing that 2 of 4 engines are buring. For luck, today in the morning, I had a normal Satuday statistic.
