Bug in account update validation

Google has a logic bug

When we first registered, our payee name naturally contained a DOT in "company name, Inc." and registration worked fine.

Now it is time to update the address of that account and Google throws an error message: " . not permitted in payee name"

Well, that is the ONLY field, I can not edit!

The thing is, that I have this problem for two different companies.

Will this ever be fixed? The dot is there and I can do nothing to remove it!

Anyone else with the same problem?

It's not a bug. It's intentional. Google doesn't allow a change to the payee name.

You can contact them at adsense-support@google.com.

pontifex isn't trying to change the payee name, but because it contains a dot the validation script seems to be choking when he tries to change the address.

hence, a bug

jatar_k: exactly... the payee name shall stay, just the address changes. no way to save that, because there is a dot in the payee name.

PS: by digging through the google groups, i found others with the same problem. this is very annoying and also affects AdWords accounts alike. We can not start with that account without changing the address!
