Just some of the irrelevant stuff I am getting
An ad for Calcium Phosphate on a page with around 400 characters of information on CSS ZIndex and Opacity.
An ad for buying castles in France on a page that discusses CSS Pseudo-classes.
I found out about Ad Review today. The AdSense "Help" Center is very specific about how you opt-in for ad-review. I go to the Competitive Ad Filter Page as they suggest and what do I find? Nothing at all relating to ad review!
Am I just being plain dumb or is there another explanation somewhere?
And it may not have been turned on for you yet.
Re the irrelevant ads, take a close look at the pages and see if there are ANY words that might be triggering the ads.
Then go to AdSense Help and look up section targeting so you can tell the bot to ignore sections of the page and/or emphasize sections of the page....
Whether you are an Adsense novice or not isn't the point--the bot can pick up on ONE word and match to that. I've seen very strange things on my site, such as the bot ignoring virtually all of the content of a page except for a metaphor about baking a cake, and then serving up ads for recipes!
I have a suspicion as to why you are getting the Calcium Phosphate ads. If you PM me the URL of that page, I'll take a look.
It can also take a few weeks for the ads to get well targeted. How long have you had the pages in question up? Do they get a lot of page views?
