I rarely click on AdSense ads (and never on my own site), but I couldn't resist this one.

Cheap Tickets (with a Google Checkout shopping cart)
find information on cheap tickets - Search
for it on Google.
www.google.com

It took me to the SERP as though I just did a search for "cheap tickets" on Google.

I think this is a deceptive ad because it doesn't take you to a site about cheap tickets and since Google isn't selling anything, why is the Google Checkout shopping cart displayed? Further, I'm not aware of any travel seller that accepts Google Checkout, but that's beside the point.

Why is Google stuffing their SERPS in Adsense ads?

Google is doing its own arbitrage take cheap clicks from content and ship them over to the more expensive ads on the search results...

Shame on them! Google should be banned for life!

What is wrong with Google displaying its own ads?

I was just joking ecmedia. It's OK if Google displays their own ads.

Could it have been a Google Custom Search [google.com] user that is running the ad in hopes of getting the AdSense revenue from the CSE SERP?

Perhaps the term "cheap tickets" is on one of those "adsense keywords" lists that seam to float around.

As far as I know "cheap airline tickets" is on of the most highly sought after search phrases. One thing I don't understand is why they would display the checkout cart.
