Irrelevant Ads + Wrong Language

Hello All. I have just activated AdSense on my website. The site is crawled very regularly by Google bots - and has been for several months now. As I test out my AdSense activated pages I find that for the most part the ads that are being displayed are either wildly irrelevant or in the wrong language or both.

I have seen some information that leads me to believe that this is normal with a new site. Does my site get treated as "new"? Is it because the AdSense bot is a wholly different one from the Google bots that have been visiting my site thus far?

I would much appreciate any advice.

The Adsense bot is Mediapartners-Google, so check for it in your logs.
