If it ends up compulsary I'll not be logging into gmail on the beach (not that I have gmail or go to the beach but it's the the point that's important).
Many seemed not to go to a landing page with the required call to action. Also, the links were getting cliks, but apparently not the required action, so people were getting taken away from my site & the advertiser was getting name awareness, but I wasn't making money.
Some ideas that might help:
1 - have more targeted landing pages for the referral ads and more targeted copy in the ad itself. If the required action is to sign up for a newsletter, the copy shouldn't say "Learn about..." It should specifically say "Sign up for..." And then the landing page should be a sign-up page, not the advertiser's home page.
2 - open the referral ads (not the regular ones) in a new window
3 - pay a smaller amount for clicks on the Referral ads, and then an additional payment if the required action is taken after they click, especially when the required action is a purchase.
Thanks for asking!
More channels.
The ability to see all companies that advertise on the sites. The preview tool is very limited and too slow to do any real good.
One of my sites is 7000 pages large and to check every page, every country, and even then you get a sample of adverts is not enough.
Minimum click price.
The ability to block via pub-number. That wasy we could block a bulk of MFA sites from an advertiser without having to block every site that person owns.
Close down MFA site accounts quicker.
Pay us for finding and alerting you to MFA sites. At present, there is no incentive to do so. And any willingness to do so atm is dwindling do to sites reported still in operation.
An option to use "classic mode" adsense code in Adsense Setup.

Shall we REALLY write every week that we want bigger, better filters? That we want better reports? That we (possibly) want to set minimum EPC? That we want more channels?
I tend agree with Hobbs and Zett.
<to the mods> An ongoing polltaker facility might be a good idea.
This way we compile one wishlist and collect votes, instead of all of us wishing over and over week in week out, without seeing the full picture.
When a wish is denied (as was the extended comp ad filter last week) it might be desirable if it can be either flagged or struck off, so that everybody gets the full picture.

How about letting us set the minimum bid per site? If people currently paying as little as $0.01 per click couldn't get any business then maybe they'd be willing to pay $0.05 per click, worth a try.
It would be nice to give us more clues about what triggers smart pricing because the lower payouts aren't good for Google OR the publisher. Perhaps a webmaster tool like in Webmaster Central just showing us which pages are rated lower than other pages and some clue WHY would be real nice so we can at least try to figure out what's going on and correct the problem.
The ability to block DOMAIN PARKS from advertising on our sites. I find it really difficult to believe that AdWords with all their "quality guidelines" and such can't tell when a domain park submits to AdWords. Heck, I run a directory and have 100s of domain park fingerprints used by my link checker to identify sites that have converted to domain parks, would you like some help with this? ;)
Being able to block an entire type of sites (.edu) or specific keywords in ads from showing up on your site.
Google sends us the money when we could spend it online directly with no currency conversion and fees.
Why there's not a Google Checkout (or eBay PayPal) payment option yet?
Being able to offer only ONE (or however many you choose) referral ad(s)...
More channels. More comp ad filters. Haven't we done this before? We've been making these same requests for years now and nothing's changed. I think you're just paying lip service ASA. Show me the money baby...
