AdSense ads in Blogger

I have a blog at blogspot and half-way down is where I am attempting to paste code for AdSense, but when I paste it, save page & publish blog....nothing appears in that spot. Is anyone familiar with Blogger? First, keep in mind, I am using the "classic" template and the actual AdSense code is for a 728X90 banner in that spot. I am wondering why this basic procedure doesn't work. Feedback would be great.

PS: BTW, I already use AdSense extensively, have an account and my code I use is aved in Notepad that I pull it from to paste accordingly.....

If I got you right, AdSense ads will not appear if you paste the code in a blog post. You need to tweak the template and put the code in the right place.

If you are using a blogspot address and with their latest version you cannot add Adsense code with the same flexibility that having your own domain allows.

However, several people have developed a simple hack (just do a Google search) and now you can add AdSense in the template and display the ads wherever you want. I followed the instructions and it worked out great.

Maybe I'm reading the original post wrong but it looks like you're talking about adding a "leader board-sized ad" to the middle of your blog - which I really don't think is possible.

You can add the leader board-sized ad to the footer of your blog though
