Ok guys this has been happening for a few days now and Im scared what the dickens....

A few days ago i had 450 impressions and 713 clicks.
Then the day after 1500 impressions 440 clicks.

And the trend continued but when I checked today
one of my sites had:
8 impressions 33 clicks and 0.00 earnings
another had 4 impressions 63 clicks and 0.00 earnings.
Please help me out with what is going on here please.

Is anyone else seeing this and should I contact google about this?
Help ASAP

If you have FTP access, you should be able to find them in that manner. You may have to go up one level from where your site files are. Or else you can download them from your hosting control panel.

If you're having difficulty with that, contact your hosting admin. Beyond that you could try a javascript triggered hosted solution, many hosted tracking solutions have a free trial or a free version that could have you up and running within minutes.

Martini I was just told by Go Daddy that I dont have access to server logs on shared hosting. So I am really worried now if thats the only way to find out. Ive been reading and I am afraid of losing my account.

You can get Go Daddy's "Traffic Facts" service so that you can have access to your web logs with shared hosting. It's an extra couple of dollars or so per month.

Right, good suggestion. And there's also this suggestion I previously made:

Beyond that you could try a javascript triggered hosted solution, many hosted tracking solutions have a free trial or a free version that could have you up and running within minutes.

You're not going to have answers until you get your stats figured out.

Good luck.

I had similar a couple of weeks ago, my clicks went ballistic, hundreds more than yours over several sites for several days!

I contacted Google telling them I thought I was subject to a click attack but they were already on top of it however it won't do you any harm to let them know you've noticed it too.

You'll get a boiler plate response acknowledging it.

You will definitely need to inform Google - although they will already know about it as it is obvious due to no income.

Second thing is looking at maybe taking the adsense off the site for a while... if it isn't generating any revenue but keeps receiving the click attack, it is better not being on the site.

Third thing is access to log files - this should be something every decent webhost offers in a shared hosting environment. I did host with GoDaddy initially but really didn't like their support or webhosting service at all, I felt it was amature at best while their support staff would have found it difficult passing 6th grade tests.

The main reason you need access to log files is that you will be able to provide proof to google that you were not behind the clicks... otherwise you run the gauntlet of being held liable and if the worst happened, you wouldn't be able to provide evidence to reverse the decision.

Good luck, hope things return to normal soon and that everything is ok.

PS. Maybe Google should look at putting in an automatic trigger to show PSA ads when a person clicks x amount of times within x amount of time. This would limit potential damage and help protect the publisher as well as the advertiser.

Graceann, you are so right, what got me was that no one at Godaddy even knew what I was talking about where the stats were concerned not to mention the fact that three guys in a row did not know what facebook was... seriously test it yourself.

But I dont think I can access the server logs but I am really going to write to Google seriously because I dont know what was happening though it has stopped now. I am so afraid of the Google dinosaur though,
