Page impressions way too high?!

I have no idea whats going on

I just checked my adsense earnings and at mid-day I have twice as many impressions now than I usually have all day on any day! What's more is I have very few clicks...what usually causes this? Should I be concerned, and do I need to change anything on my site?

Do you have pictures on your site?

One reason might be that one of your is displayed above the general Google SERPs for a popular search term. Picture visitors generate page impressions, but don't click on ads often is my experience.

Last time as this happened to me, a famouse actress comitted suicide and a page with a picture from her was in Google with her name first place.

More than 50 thousand page views in 2 days, but nearly no clicks
