Has anyone tried the AdsenseReferrals for non-Google/FF products? It's been available for about 6 months and they seem to now have a lot of advertisers signed up in different categories now, such as health, travel, foods, etc.

With the many of the referrals (at least in the categories that would work for me), you only get paid if someone actually makes a purchase, so I'm also thinking that might hurt my income, since - if they click on a referral ad and don't buy, I get nothing (and they're now taken away from my site) - but if they stayed on the site and clicked on the regular adsense ads, I'd get paid no matter what.

If anyone has had success, I'd love to know. Also, I'm just wondering if it's best to include these on regular pages like the other adsense ads. Or should you create a separate page?

So far, I've had people clicking on the referrals, but no money, so I assume they never bought.

Thanks

I've found them a complete waste of space - but that doesn't mean another site in maybe another niche won't do really well.

I've experimented on a couple of sites, and won't do again (unless something changes). But then, I'm quite happy with Adsense ads, so they'd have to do well to convince me!

I found referrals to be very intriguing when it first came out. Unfortunately, the implementation was awful. I won't try it again until they make it work properly. There is a long list of gripes about referrals somewhere in this forum.
