Do any of you have experience with non-english AdSense?

May be having my sites translated into Spanish...

I have a few friends that are completely fluent in Spanish, and have been considering having them translate my sites into Spanish.

This would effectively give me double the content (realistically they won't translate everything, but whatever) so I was curious how Spanish sites performed. I don't expect the ads to pay as well as English ones by any means as there will likely be less advertisers, but who knows.

So, have any of you had good luck with running multiple languages? Any tips?

I would first ask myself - is it worth translating into spanish? Do you get enough hits to make the translation worthwhile and therefore any ads worthwhile?

If it is worthwhile, then go for it i guess. I suppose you have nothing to lose.

I run a very large Spanish website and yes ECPM is somewhat low (again apples to apple comparison is impossible) but since the total number of web pages in Spanish is still low (compared to that in English; there are much fewer websites in Spanish in relation to number of Spanish speakers) it is much easier to get traffic. I would say if you can translate it then it could be an additional source of revenue for you.
