Not sure if it's people back from holidays or my email to google but my earnings are back today! What's going on with the other people that were saying their earnings are down?

My earnings took a dip around the 16th and have yet to recover. Looking toward January after the new year, hoping to be back to normal.

today, yes, recovery across all sites - eCPM/CPC are all way up.

No, I don't expect it to last. Perhaps it's part of the last-ditch act of desperate e-tailers as they try to finish out the holiday season.

Definitely a bit of a recovery from the horribly low Christmas traffic - but not totally back to normal. Usually it really picks up for me in January.

It will go down again from 30-Dec to 2-Jan-08

yup, today was a lot better. It fits what I've seen before. My best months are Jan, Feb & March. That is when people really get involved in the hobby I write about. I hope the trend continues.

My amount paid per click hadn't changed but my click through rate has been down all Fall.

Traffic is way up in the last couple of days. AdSense eCPM is slightly depressed, as it's been since mid-month, but affiliate bookings are starting to pick up, and I expect the usual surge after New Year's.

Advertisers are blowing out the 2007 budget before Jan. 1.

eCPM is back to normal for me today, which I wasn't expecting. But I'm glad!

Definitely up after X-mas! I am quite surprised and pleased but I think it will dip again little before New Year's but definitely much better even pre-October!

Mine took the dive on 12/21 and I don't expect true recovery until 1/2.

My sites are all very family-oriented (no singles, lonely people, etc.) and I think they are all busy with other things.

I sit here and try to wish/woo them back to their computers... but oh, well. Guess I ought to just go spend some time with my own family. ;-)

Me too. I know from my stats how busy moms and grandmas are at any given time. :) Seems like they have the most time for themselves in the winter after the holidays.

I seem to be getting a little more per click the last few days. Maybe the advertisers for my hobby know prime time is coming as well. I seem to have more good ads now. Women spending their Christmas money.

Traffic and Adsense exploded today like it usually does on the First of January. Cheers to a bright and prosperous New Year for all of us!

Looking at previous PostCristmasPickup (PCP) scenarios, I feel that this year the whole uptake is delayed by two weeks.

In 2005 and 2006, the 30-day-moving average would fall until mid-december (i.e. every new day brings a lower 30-day-average), when it would stabilize (i.e. some days lower, some days higher) and then soar between 25th and 27th of December (every new day brings higher 30-day-average).

This year, the value fell right until 27th; since then I am seeing the stabilization, and I hope that the soaring beings now or in a few days.

Good luck 2008, everyone.
