Adsense and Kontera

Are they allowed on the same page?

Hi guys. I have been an Advertiser with adsense for about 4 years, but recently discovered a website that uses Kontera ads in-content on the same pages as adsense.

Is this not against the TOS for Google Adsense to display Google adsense ads and Konterna in-content pop ads on he same page?

Currently I use rectangle Google ads.

As long as the listings look different you're fine. Jensense had a post about this awhile back, take a look through her archives and you'll find it.

I've been running them together since Feb/Mar of this year, no problems. Surprisingly the addition of Kontera ads didn't decrease my AdSense revenue.

Surprisingly the addition of Kontera ads didn't decrease my AdSense revenue.

That was my experience also.

But when you run both on the same page be careful the AdSense placement, because the Kontera ads can pop up in front of the AdSense ads, and I believe that's a technical violation of the AdSense TOS.

What I have found is that, on my site, Kontera sometimes works pretty well on pages where AdSense doesn't work well at all.

While I use Adsense across the board, I geo-targetted Kontera to only show up in countries that they suggested as having better EPC (north America, western Europe and Oz), and only displayed it on my more text-heavy pages. The result has been pretty healthy earnings as a result -- and no discernible effect on Adsense.

They suggested I add it to the forum as well, may do in the new year -- it will be interesting if it performs in the same way as Adsense on a forum (ie lower EPC and eCPM).
