Lately Google announced that they are launching Knol a combination of WIkipedia and Squidoo to create a new user generated authoritative online knowledgebase for everything.

See Google blog Post Encouraging people to contribute knowledge [googleblog.blogspot.com]

Google also clearly stated that-
* Author or content creator can put Google ads (revenue sharing)

* Knol results will be in Google's index, may on the *first page / first url* - remember google has high page rank.

* Google may favoring pages from Knol over others publisher like you and me. This means more traffic to their own site.

* Also google has complete knowledge of search keywords, tails and other stuff. This will help them to get on top of the world

* Many experts believes that Google is totally trying to replace Wikipedia [arstechnica.com]. Tommorow they may replace good number of adsense publisher as they don't wanna share 50-70% income with us.

This may be result into bigger threat for our own Adsense income. What do you think? Am I thinking too much? Can google through out all authority web site?
