. . . and am wondering if subscriptions to these kinds of services are worth it? I.e., I am not the best writer of content but it's a necessity for a well laid out AdSense laden web. This particular web claims thousands of well prepared articles on any range of subject matter . . . has anyone subbed to this kind of thing? Curious about it all....

If you build a Web site around boilerplate content, it's only a matter of time until you'll run afoul of search engines' duplicate-content filters, and your investment of time and money will have been in vain.

EuropeForVisitors: I am talking about a site offering articles that have not appeared anywhere before...not previously appeared or published. It has me wondering.

If the articles are sold more than once and start appearing on different websites, then Google will only want to show the article once in its search results. The other sites hosting the article probably won't show up.

Write your own content and articles, with your own ideas, thoughts and opinions, so it's original, for sure, and has your own style. And then, if you don't think your writing skills are up to par, just get someone to edit it for you for structure, spelling and grammar.

The obvious questions are:

1) Are they guaranteeing that the articles won't appear anywhere else?

2) Are the articles dirt-cheap? If so, how can the vendor afford to sell them cheaply while paying even minimal rates to the writers?

I'd be very, very skeptical. (After all, if the articles were any good, why would the vendor be offering them to you when it could put together a made-for-AdSense site of its own?)

Yep . . . Marcia kicked butt and made things quite evidently clear - thanks.
