How many domains do you have doing adsense?

Does one faulty domain ruin it all?

I have adsense on four domains. If I put them on a couple of more I know they will do much better than the ads I'm running on them now. I'm afraid to because if Google thinks one of the websites isn't good enough then they will cancel my whole account. Will they ask me to quit running ads on the just the "inferior site" or will they just cancel my whole adsense account?

I would ask Google to check out the site you think is not good enough, it is always better to get the answer from the horse's mouth. Google encourage their publishers to get in touch... Why they respond with their generic e-mails in some cases in unknown, but they should be able to tell you if the site is worthy of Adsense.

It's not a "requirement" to ask permission to place AdSense on new sites. That being said if you have a couple of "good" sites running AdSense then use your account to "break" Google's TOS on other sites that might get you in trouble. What is "good enough" is subjective. Do these new sites have content that is valuable to the end user or are these new sites just spammy pages with little content...?

I would say if these new sites have worthwhile content go ahead and add the AdSense code. If not take some time and work on these other sites then add the code (It's the content not the design that counts). In my opinion the content needs to be valuable to the end user, not to Google. As far as canceling an entire account or them asking you to drop a specific site - I bet this comes down to how much revenue you actually generate for Google.

This brings up an important question.
Would they kick you out of the full program for one of the minor sites? It is a bit scary.

My experience has been that if Adsense doesn't "like" something I'm doing, they'll send a warning email .. possibly the volume of $$ one generates for them has some influence .. and the human factor as well .. the Googlers and Googlettes are people ..

.. the outcome could be differant depending on the mood of the Adsense QC rep.

Oh .. now I've gone and scared you ;)

Sleep better at night by running quality issues by them. - In the post IPO world .. their degree of tolerance may be in flux.

From what I've read here, it's a page-by-page thing; unless you're looking for a fight, they only ask you to remove code on pages that do not conform. However, if one doesn't act promptly, one should probably expect global account termination.

I've made it a point to make each subsequent AdSense page/site a little "better" than the one(s) initially accepted, and I haven't heard a peep from the team that has managed to make me do exactly as they want w/o so much as a bot mail. ;)
