Hello Frnds

I have my Adsense ADS coming up on my blog. The ADS were coming up according to the Blog theme.

BUT

From past 1 week just one Google AD is showing up that too of some relief/fund raising schemes.

Why is it so…my account is running fine…

Pls guide me what should be the possible reasons.

Hi

It could be due to "stop words"? google it.

From past 1 week just one Google AD is showing up that too of some relief/fund raising schemes.

Those are Public Service Ads (PSAs), which are served when other ads aren't available or--as the previous poster suggested--when there are "stop words" on the page that prevent ads from being served to avoid awkward situations such as the classic NEW YORK POST incident where ads for refrigerators were displaying alongside an article about a dead boy whose body was found in a fridge.

prevent ads from being served to avoid awkward situations

I think they should just drop the ads instead of serving irrelevant junk like that so people can use alternative ad systems and not lose a pageview, IMO.

There is a setting in your AdSense account where you can specify what should be done in that case -- show PSAs, show your own alternative ad, show a plain colored rectangle, etc.

sonjay, that's in case they don't have enough advertisers. When you encounter stop words, they show ads from industries that do not mind being associated with sensitive topics (police, anti theft, lawyers, spyware, funeral services, etc). It's usually a waste though since it is very off-topic, I'd rather they let you choose empty or alternative ads.

Oh, I'm glad you clarified that, koan. I didn't know they handled the two situations differently.
