Hi,

I use AdWords and am hoping some experienced publishers can help me understand this problem.

I was checking how different urls were doing on my content network and came across a site with a 17% CTR. That is very high compared to other advertisers so I went to the site. It is a good enough site, lots of information and easy to use, but I was surprised to find my ad without my display URL. I went to a few other sites with Google Ads and they all have the display URL. Why doesn't this site have it?

They are google ads; the 'Ads by Google' logo displays next to them.

Is this a new feature? Allowing publishers to take off my display URL?

Sometimes some of the formats don't show the urls.

Some sites have an exemption. I asked AdSense a while ago about one site in particular. Here's a summary of their response: ...the customizable ad units that you're referring to is one of several new features the Google AdSense team is currently testing for a very limited number of publishers. At this time, we are not able to offer these features to other publishers...

That is it. Thanks DreamMaker. I don't remember seeing that ad format when I checked out AdSense a year ago. I'm still suspicious of the high CTR, but maybe the ad format leads to higher CTRs. I dunno.
