Not that I can do any better. 1.5 million worldwide? ;)
Amazon (started 1996) is approaching one million affiliates, according to a recent blog - I suspect Google has exceeded this in less than half the time, because with Amazon, people believe they can make silly money and soon, but with Google's Adsense, they seem to believe they will Get Rich Overnight. An unlikely occurrence, in my experience!
But I suspect it's not a very useful statistic, as there's no standard size; they vary through every possible size between one page sites and The Really Big Ones.
An interesting discussion from last year/year before was how many AdSensers never get paid since they never get to the USD 100 minimum and who has THAT money?
What would YOU do ;)
LOL, save it all for that quarter, which will inevitably happen sometime, when earnings have gone totally belly up:-))
It would be really interesting to know just how much it amounts to, several USD million I would guess, it would only need 100,000 publishers with USD 10 per account for each USD 1 million...
All that "free" money going begging:-)
thats an interesting question huskypup, what happens to that money....that is a lot of money...damn:))
Whether that's a lot of money depends on your perspective. I could live on it for a long time, but it's a drop in the bucket for a network with nearly 1.5 billion dollars in quarterly revenues!
