Hi all,
We have a website and the traffic flow is near 10000 per day.
The PR=4, and the rank is near 20,000, i check it on alexa.com .

However, the real thing i want to know is if i join in Google Adsense, what should i pay attention to? What ads should i put on my website? And how much the Google should pay for me?

Someone have any suggestion ,please don't hesitate to inform me.
Thanks
Jeff

You gotta be careful giving out url and the like. Your message will likely be blocked. Try asking your questions without giving url.
To answer your question though...
When you set Adsense on your pages create channels for each page, ad type, ad place, or however you want to break down your earnings and stats.
The basic report will tell you earnings, page views, clicks, earnings per thousand views, etc. Depending on the subject, design, ad placement, etc., you can expect to earn (in my rough estimate) $20-$80 per day from 10,000 page views. Of course page views are different than visitors, so you may well have many more page views than your current visitor count.
Really, you should consider redesigning your pages for adsense. If you simply throw an adsense banner or tower into your page you will get a few clicks but only about half of the potential. Research the best ad sizes and types and try to build your page around them. Blend your ads with your site, but be careful not to mislead users or suggest that they click ads. This will get you banned and even if you get away with it, smart pricing will catch you.

$20-$80 per day from 10,000 page views

How did you come up with that computation?

How much you can make really depends on your visitors and why they come to your site. I think it is hard to generalize.

I'd say give AdSense a shot and find out how much your pages will earn. Read the TOS carefully and don't try to cheat. Study your stats and read the forums here. Within a few months you will have a good idea of what works on your site and how much you can earn.

With AdSense income all you can do is guess, because it depends on more than just page views. But I think it's pretty accurate. I agree with that post.

Someone have any suggestion

Experiment. Continuously. Assume that whatever you discover today will have changed a year from now. Don't assume that a Google check represents money from Google -- it represents money from a random gob of advertisers during a random time period as the result of a random gob of visitor actions. Read the book "Fooled by Randomness", and don't get fooled by the randomness of the AdSense system into believing that:

  • your income should remain steady over time.
  • your future income should be predictable.
  • change X in your website produced change Y in your AdSense income.
  • an actual human being at Google is paying attention to your website or gives 2 hoots about it.
  • your AdSense income can't be cut off completely at a moment's notice due to events that you have absolutely no control over.
  • almost everybody is making big bucks from AdSense.
  • your AdSense income is below average (the average is very, very low).
