Adsense and over 40

A little while ago I had my 40st birthday. And I wondered for a moment if a guy with my age should continue to make cash by putting Adsense on webpages.

Now some of you folks are "old friends" in more than one way. But in respect of the age thing: Give me your numbers please. What is the age of the Adsenser? Who thinks he or she is the youngest or perhaps the oldest Adsenser?

And Ann, I know that these numbers don't matter so much for the lucky ones who feel 20 years young regardless of their age...

Me thinks since many 'senior' people are counting on AdSense, Google needs to rethink their social responsibility and grow up a little too :-)

I'm 40! w00T and W T F! ;) I look slightly older than 40(thanks Dad for the gray), but I still run for 45 mins everyday. I might not be able to keep up with a 25 year old, but I just a my third child(first girl) when I was 39! Lovin' life!

I have many sites with Adsense on them, I also pondered before "Am I too old for technology?" The short answer is hell no. Long Live Leo LaPorte!

Hell I can't. I can't even remember being 25 except we had a Vietnam War and I was making mistakes because of over enthusiasm. Then again some say:

"If you remeber the 1960's you never lived through it" - or whatever

Why shouldn't you? I have [two marriages] 8 kids, 7 girls one son and 23 grand-kids including three great-grand-children.

Enjoy it while you can mate.

Not joking, this is paradise with daughter and grand-daughters etc. Sons and so forth?

Just have a mean right hook. But that's just me.

Wow. What a cool thread. Seeing people literally from 20 to 70 years old here and making $. It's great. Income on the Internet can be forever. My work and checks will come into my kids long after I'm gone.

Just peeking over the parapet at 50. Moved our business completely on to the internet last year, moved to somewhere with good skiing, and loving every minute of it.

Just turned 59. Started running AdSense on a well established hobby site a couple of years ago when I was on the verge of retirement. I had started the site with the idea of having something to help occupy my time during retirement. My earnings during the first month completely amazed me. The extent of the earnings made the retirement decision much easier. I am now totally retired from my former career, and the AdSense income is not a must for my wife and I - but it certainly provides an extra level of comfort and protection. One additional huge benefit of AdSense is that the stress of earning money from the program is infinitely low compared to that which I experienced during my former career.
