What I would like to see as Features in AdSense

1. The ability to only show adverts for sites with a selectable Google Page Rank (4 or above for example) to reduce MFA sites showing on my pages.

2. The ability to set a minimum amount for an advert to be shown.

3. For AdSense to have a "Safe for Children" adverts facility.

What I mean by the safe for children adverts is that I have a site that has people of all ages groups using it, including children. I have recently noticed adverts for "bingo" sites (UK Adverts) - now I personally don't want kids to click an advert and then go to a site promoting gambling.

What I am probably trying to say is that Google should consider adding tools to allow publishers to manage the quality of the adverts being shown. If a person hits an advert and lands on a MFA website or some of the so called search engines that advertise on AdSense then they are not likely to trust any of the other adverts.

Google spends a lot of time monitoring Publishers, I think they need to apply the same rules to advertisers!

be careful what you wish for...
1) and 2) would dent google's profits, and then they'd probably cut the amount they pay us.

1. The ability to only show adverts for sites with a selectable Google Page Rank (4 or above for example) to reduce MFA sites showing on my pages.

The most immediate flaw which comes to mind is there are a great many commercial sites [of substance] with little or no PR of significance.

I can readily think of many major corporations in Australia which fit this description. Their SEO is literally appalling.

However they may well bid say $10.00 per keyword. Would I want to exclude them on the basis of low PR? I think not.

Even with good SEO they could still have a low PR. Being household names they need not worry that much. I'd love to have them advertising on my sites irrespective of EPC because they lend greater credibility to your site.

Imagine Ads for Ford, General Motors, Sony etc. on your site? No I don't know what their PR is but you get my point.

A good point on legitimate websites having low or non existant Page Rank, yet there must be some way to keep out MFA and so called Search Engines / Directories from listing against a huge range of keywords they bid for - often at very low rates.

Page Rank is probably not such a good idea.

I am not against MFA sites - my sites are made for AdSense, that is how I get back something on my time and money I spend on the server etc, yet I also put in probably 1-2 hours per page creating content.

It is just the sites that you land on their index page and ALL you see is AdSense, not a good advert for AdSense or for my website carrying adverts for them. What really ticks me off is that Google often indexes and gives very high Page Rank to these sites as well - so there goes suggestion 1. Page Rank is not a good measurement of quality.

Most of what has been listed in this thread

[webmasterworld.com...]

has not been implemented yet. I still think this is a very good list of feature requests, but I certainly won't hold my breath waiting for it to be implemented any time soon (or, in fact, any major improvement for publishers).

Hi, thanks for that link. I tried to add to the "original list of AdSense Wish List" and found it had been locked.
