According adwords CPC USD 3.25, real life: 0,03

Why am I being paid so low per click?

Searched adwords for keywords my site are ranking first. estimated medium CPC there USD 3.22 for first and over USD 1,5 for others.

That would be great news because I'd think click on my ads will pay me very good. But the true is that I'm getting 0,03 per click in real life in that site (in other sites too)

What is happening? Why am I being paid so low when keywords seems to be well paid?

A lot of people would like to know the answer to that question.

Evidently Google decides how much each click is worth.

In the first place, the AdWords estimate tool is laughably inaccurate. I haven't even fired it up in four years.

In the second place, I'm not sure the estimates apply to the Content Network anyway, might just be for Search.

In the third place - smart pricing. If Google doesn't think your traffic is likely to convert, the advertiser doesn't get charged as much for traffic from your site, and you earn less.

estimates are not for content... that plus people being able to exclude your site can bring down income

Do you see that enormous difference in your sites too or is it just me?

I wonder what difference it makes to point keyword of 0,03 or USD 70 then...

What does that means? If user search for widget and comes to my site I should receive something more similar to those 3,25 than if ads are shown as part of content network?

And BTW why should google think clicks will not convert. I'm seeing ads being published and are fine, very close related to page theme...

Be assured that nobody is paying $3.22 per click from your website, or anything close to that.

I'm not an AdWords user, so I can't tell you if those numbers are useful for anything at all, but they sure won't tell you what the average advertiser is paying per click on a content network website.

We don't know your site and we don't know anything about your content, so I suggest you contact Google and ask them. Nobody here can give you a good answer. I know what I pay in AdSense for clicks in certain niches, and I know what I earn in certain niches, and I'm not unhappy.

I'm adwords advisor too and pay more like 0,05 than 3,25. But never so low as 0,03. I don't think adsense give me useful information about that. Why would they want to pay me more if they can avoid it? So if it's not here, don't think anywhere else.

Advertisers have the ability to set separate bids on the Search Network (Google, AOL, etc.) vs the Content Network (Adsense publishers). Since conversion rate is usually much lover on traffic from Adsense publishers (Content network), advertisers usually bid MUCH less for their ads on the content network then they would on the Search network. The estimation AdWords is showing you, is the estimate for that ranking on Google (or Search network)... NOT the content network.

So you will likely never see a $3 click paid to you as an Adsense publisher, because advertisers aren't willing to pay near that much for Content network traffic. There are exceptions to every "rule", but unless you have some really unique content in an industry that has high profit margins, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Yes you are right, but I don't expect site oriented campaigns to pay me more than 0,03, I expect Search clicks pay higher than that and none of both does. (In fact most of clicks generated are that kind, at least in my case)

What search network clicks aren't even close to anything above 0,05 is the question...
