My Secret For Increasing AdSense Income

I've been holding back on this for sometime now, but since I've received a lot of assistance from others on this forum, I've decided to share my secret. However, my stipulation is for you guys and gals not to share this with others, just keep it among yourselves.

My Secret? I whine and complain.

Several weeks ago, I wrote in a thread here about declining earnings how I was focusing more attention on more diversification of my income away from AdSense. Almost immediately, things picked up in my AdSense account.

A few days ago I wrote how I was monetizing one site primarily with AdSense and I planned to switch it from a free to a fee site and rely less on AdSense. Boom! The the past 2-3 days both my CTR and EPC have reached levels reminiscent of the summer of 2003.

I don't know why things happen this way and I may have put a jinx on it by discussing it openly, but my conscience was bothering me for not sharing what I had discovered.

Funny you should say that. My adsense earning improved greatly when I messaged Google to complain about the huge decline in my CPC.

2 days later it was 4x higher. I had made other changes but I also wondered whether there was more to it.....

While I'm not overly impressed with my AdSense earnings in 2007 compared with 2006, I think one is playing with fire when they start discussing the issue on their own website. The reason I say this is because at what point will Google decide you are drawing undue attention to their ads and thus violating their TOS?

Hmmm. Good point. Hmmm. Ummmm... what I wrote above about good earnings was a lie. The truth is my earnings are dismal. Lower than a snake's belly in a road rut.

I give Yahoo another chance every now and then but the targeting is poor or is very slow. I keep hoping I'll visit the YPN forum and find some upbeat threads. Are you finding reason for optimism at the Y?
