low paid ads?

Well
after driving people to site we have around 500 impression but only around 4% of clicks ....we dont know it is allowed or not ...but that 20 clicks usually is giving .30-.38 cent...which we feel is very very low...

so what can we do to uplift that click income....the site is about jokes and sms..(two sites)

the income given here is not in definate time frame and just around figure

It may be your site's topic that is the cause. Is that 30 to 38 cents a total figure?

4% @ $0.38 is great. Now you must work on building up traffic.

The fact that you are making any money on only 500 page views per day is good.

From what I know about advertising in that niche, you're never going to get very high EPCs there.

It could be ads for other joke sites attempting to get traffic.

Just play with Competitive Ad Filter. Use adsense preview tools to get ads information or signup with #*$!.com to remove low cost ads.

a good way to build traffic is to infiltrate communities that are interested in the information you publish.

You need to do is work on building traffic. If you build it, they will come.

If you have the #1 joke site on the net, you will make money money money.

Focus on good content and building relationships with the community you are interested in reaching -- bloggers, user groups, message boards, etc.

Remember -- it's all about content.

Sorry ya i was concerned that disclosing ctr is against tos...but as i say it is round figure...appox figure..i tried to make it indirect but with out it was not possible to ask this question...

any way we do agree it was mistake ...we are planning to edit it but with out it this question (edited one) will be incomplete..
so what can we do?

we abide my all tos of google...it was not intentional..

by the way it is not .38 cent per click it is .38 cent for ....clicks...

I WAS TRYING TO EDIT THE FIRST POST AS WE FELT IT WAS AGAINST THE GOOGLE TOS,BUT WE WERE NOT ABLE TO DO IT ...,We have not stated any thing intentionally ,all figures are assumptions round figures..and we felt that things were to be clarified so we included some numericials..there

all are just a assumptions and may not necessarilty reflect the true figures..

I think the ¢30 to ¢38 is for the whole 20 clicks, not each. In which case it is at the low end, but certainly not unusual.

The phrase 'driving people' makes me suspect arbitrage is being attempted here, or some other unnatural method of acquiring traffic.
