Adsense no longer offering site advertising.

The little "Advertise on this site" is gone.

My hair has been going gray for the past 2 months trying to figure out why my earnings are dropping like a rock.

I see my pageviews+visitors increasing over 30% in the past months. I see my CTR and total clickthrough increase. But earnings drop.

So I went and searched. Finally I found out that targeting type = "Site" went from 75% of the income to about 35%.

So I started investigating and found out that with Adsense's new look they removed the "Advertise on this site" link that was with most ad formats.

This seems to me to be the most logical explanation. Has anyone else seen a drop in Site based revenue with this change?

I don't think this is the real culprit for our earnings to drop. IMHO I believe it's smart pricing that has been causing most publishers earnings to drop in the past few months.

Most publishers? Is this a scientific survey?

To the TS, have you contacted Google about it? Can they tell you the day it was removed? Then you can check your stats.

I did contact Google, and they did confirm that the "Advertise on this site" had been removed to provide a better user experience.
But they did not tell me when. (It's fairly recent since they have not updated the help section)

The "Advertise On This Site" link was misleading to potential advertisers. It should have read "Advertise with AdWords"

If AdSense isn't going to offer the opportunity to actually advertise specifically on the site, it should have been removed.

I had to go and look, as it was just there a few days ago.
I'm assuming it will be removed from our reporting interface then?

This is a perplexing move.
It never really converted for me anyway though.

Though not always I also have seen that link gone.
