Hello

I have a blog (not english) with nice traffic and varied topics.

The problem i get 1-2 cents for a click.

I have about 500 daily clicks with reasonable ctr.

Is there legal methods to get paid more?

Thanks

Try positioning your adverts better. Google's 'heat map' indicates, for example, that a large rectangle right under the main title works well. In addition, you could experiment with blending.

Hello vincevincevince ,

My problem is not related to CTR.

I have a normal CTR percentage.

Try different topics?

If $0.02 is your average revenue per click then that's a reflection of what people in that sector are bidding for their CPC ads.

If you want higher revenue per click, write information relevant to sectors where CPC bids are higher.

This is my logic:

Money = CTR * EPC

So, if your EPC is low, then increase your CTR to match

If you don't think you can increase your CTR or don't want to then essentially you need to:

1) Increase how well themed your blog page are - don't spew out all your full posts onto the homepage - give short snippets and lead to full posts which will be better themed

2) Write about things which have lots of advertisers

There are more, but that should be a start

The other point is to look at where your visitors are from. If they are from poor countries, the ad rates tend to be much lower. On the other hand, visitors from US, EU, etc. (even here there are huge variations between New York city and Boise, Idaho) tend to pay better.

Interesting that the location of the "clicker" is important. I have two sites with very different demographics but similar content and CTR. The one with mostly non-US visitors makes a lot less than the mostly US vistor site.
The demographics of the visitors seems to be driven by the links to the site and not the content. To drive up the eCPM on the lower paying site, i am going to work on obtaining more US links and see how that works.

thanks for the post.
