I started getting emails from google (actually they are from google). Someone keeps trying to get into our account, by resetting the password. Of course I get an email from google to confirm which I always ignore and do not follow the necessary steps.

What other steps can we take to ensure the security of our google accounts? (adsense and gmail)

Strong password... random alpha/numeric. For your email account especially since they'd have to have access to that to get the new password.
