I'm sure this kind of thing has been talked about in the past, but I couldn't find any real answers after searching.

I have a site that's very niche. Because of this, the ads tend to be the same and very predictable for long periods of time. None of the advertisers are really the kind of organizations that are going to dive too deep into the advertising game. In other words, I seriously doubt that they have someone sitting there tweaking their campaign every day.

With all this said... I'm curious as to why click prices seem to be all or nothing with my AdSense. Some days it seems like virtually every click is in the dollar range. Other days the clicks will be really high, but virtually every single one is next to nothing. Yet when checking the site, I see the same ads. This repeatedly happens day after day... All or nothing. It sure seems like something is controlling the click prices as a whole.

I can't help to answer your question, but I see the same thing on my site. Its either $0.10 clicks, or $0.80 to $$1.20. It seems to vary day to day, and when I get more clicks they tend to be the low-priced variety.

Keep in mind that components in the AdSense stats don't update at the same time during the day, so there's really no way of knowing how much an individual click is worth (Google likes it like that). The only really reliable stat is an average earnings per click that you can pull out the next day after all the data is in.
