what might have happened to my site

Well our joke site was running well,
on 12th of july i changed my google position and the adsense revenue went from 1 dollar a day to 16 dollar a day all of sudden..
we did not thing except changing position of adsense..
we used to have around 100-300 page loads but with that change the page visit was around 500+ page loads(give by the separate stat counter)...
the same trend continued till 31st of july and income was near 8-10 but from august 1st to end of the month the income was again near 1 dollars per day...

so what might have happen..
i could see no thing suspicious...
we are very sad to lose what we have acheived once..
the site visitor is almost same ..but clicks are too low...
we have not used any illegal methods up to now...

so what can be done...
any suggestion...

Keep it that way. Otherwise you risk to lose your Adsense account. Forever.

it might be something to do with this, which is golden rule number one: people tend to ignore everything that they know is an ad.

people had probably become blind to your ads, but when you moved them around they suddenly started looking at them again, because it was something new. that meant they clicked on the ads for a while. but now that a few weeks have passed by they know what they are and have gone back to ignoring them again.

so maybe you've stumbled upon a tip - switch the ads around every once in a while and see if it picks up for a few weeks.

about first one well we are aware of that fact..but it is not wise to be banned in ignorance or in lack of information ..because of some wrong doing by other people(intentional competitors or bots ) so was just being careful...

for second one..well i was worried becoz things well around 10 upto 21 and from the 1st august it was again back to 1...so was some what suspicious in that ...
i has thought about that concept of people not finding ad attractive any more...

one reason for the increase was our ads were below the fold and we kept it above the fold...but i was suspisious on that date things...
