While I'm happy that at least some people are seeing the "PIP" line I am one of those in the US on the east coast who hasn't seen it yet. It's quite frustrating since now we have to wait until the weekend is over and if there is no PIP on Sunday then that means that it may not occur until Monday which means that there will be a 24 hour wait until one actually has the money to spend!
It's disgraceful. I'd like to get my money on the same day every month, instead of having to play silly waiting games like this. Some of us are hungry and can't afford to buy food because last month's payment has run out.

Looking at past payments it does appear to me that if the month end is at the end of the week then PIP appears at the beginning of the same week as is the case this month, if the month ends towards the beginning of the week then PIP appears towards the end of the previous week.
When I was in the unfortunate position of working for someone else, I was paid monthly, I knew roughly when I would get paid at the end of the month but it was not the same day every month as varying factors play a part in when the 'payroll' day fell but the deadline was the last day of the month, surely the same applies to Adsense? As long as you get your money by the time you have been told you will be paid by then if you can't make your previous payment last till then the problem is with you and not those paying you.
Just my opinions
Another point that you are missing is that people outside the US have gotten their PIP lines in their accounts which makes us in the states (and elsewhere for that matter) highly upset. Why would adsense pay those outside the U.S. If we in the US got a "PIP" line as others outside the US did on the 24th then those of us that have direct deposit option would have that money to spend by now.
But the fact remains - why would they pay others first!

WOW! I've seen many a post or thread where people have fallen victim to putting all their eggs in one basket, but never something this shocking.
My friend, you need to learn two things: budgetting & diversification.

Is anyone aware if payments are made on a "first come, first served" basis? That is, I was first to join, so I'm first to be paid. "You" were the last to join, therefore last to be paid. That would seem to be a logical way to do it, rather than a "pay America first, then the world" method.
> Wow, more people out of beer.
<chuckle>
I used to worry, but not any more, now that I understand, to a degree, how G works.
As for international (outside the US) getting paid first, I think that's entirely reasonable. Payments may take a little longer to process overseas, so those people get a head start. I have great respect for the people of other nations who have stood by the US over the past number of years.<opinion> Our national nightmare is nearly at an end, now that AG Gonzalez has announced his resignation </opinion>
No PIP here yet, but I'll give it an ETA of noon EDT on Tuesday.
They pay on accounts in a manner that is most likely for all to receive their monies at the same time?
They start with paper checks which takes the longest, then move to off-shore EFT, then domestic (US) EFT which is the fastest.
"Do no evil" carried to silliness, or simply "we can't pay everyone at once, so this is the fairest way we could think up."?
So payments in Europe will be released tomorrow in honor of the song and the event. UK is also in Europe, which means that payments in UK will be out tomorrow as well. Finally, US initials are sort of like UK initials, so US will get payments the same time as UK.
Well?
