Allow adwords campaigns to target sections/subdirectories of my site.

I've sent this through to adsense directly and had a stock no brain reply.

My website is organised into sub-directories. The content is organised by theme in these directories.

Eg. /Europe/Germany/Berlin/

Holds all the content for Berlin.

Adsense/Adwords should allow advertisers to create a campaign for just this section of the site.

Eg. I run a hotel in Berlin - I do not want to create a campaign for content about Africa.

My site is too large to start creating targetable ads for each section.

Anyone else?

(I get requests for advertising in specific sections everyday - shame that both I and google lose this revenue)

The answer seems so simple to me that I must be missing something in your question.

Use the adsense targeting tags around the text that describes that section's theme (i.e., germany). Works for me, all the time.

Adwords advertisers can already do this [adwords.google.com] so long as the target site uses the proper directory hierarchy type URLs. :)

Added: And I've used the site sections feature to great effect in campaigns I've run in the past. It really helps to setup site sections for every major subdirectory of a site from the very start to see how each section performs both in traffic, CTR, and conversions.
