incredibly long load times on some image ads

I have had to pull the image type from most of my pages because of incredibly long load times from pagead2.

What is a bit curious is that from some systems they hit right away but from others they are to the point where I think the page is frozen.

I have tested this from multipe different networks and of course got multiple different results.

I have had similar long load time problems - occaisionally I have even received a "page not available" message as it just never loads.

I have switched all my ads to text only as:

1. The slow loads look bad.

2. The images do not match the context of my pages at all - or match only very poorly. This led to very poor click through on the images - the CTR on the text only pages were better, so thats all I have now.

This is a retraction of my original post, turns out that our local internet provider has been causing partial page loads. (note this is not a small provider but one of the national ones)
