Except for one other day in two years. Appears to be a trend, not a one-day anomaly. Checked the seaonal averages from a year ago.

The EPC drop started near the end of last month; thought it could be end-of-month budget issues, but alas, apparently not. No immediate pick up in the first days of the new month.

Saw something of an upswing after Arbit Crackdown 1.0; in fact, about a 25% increase in EPC. That continued until now, when it seems to be back to normal, if not lower.

Perhaps we're all ready for a new round of tighter smart pricing?!

Oh well, I'm off to read my August Adsense Optimization Email. If anything can crank up the EPC, that must be it! :/

my ecpm:
july 1-10 low 30's
aug 1-10 mid-high 20's (mainly because I have 1 page that is getting stumbleupon'd (?) like crazy and stumblers are quick to change that channel.

Here an Aug. trend; Followed a couple of displayed ad urls (copied and pasted) on one of my main pages and the url was 'not found' for either. This could be one of the reasons we have a weaker eCPM for the past several days, wasted ad space. Notified Google today.

You can't even imagine how commonplace that I have found that to be. I was doing that quite a bit some months ago with the AdSense preview tool and typing in the displayed URL directly...was amazed. I would think this would look bad against the publisher also since it would be detected the user hit the "back" button immediately on clicking....but maybe I'm wrong.

Loudspeaker, I use a vertical ad network (really more of a rep firm) that works with sites in its sector that can deliver 500,000+ impressions per month. For advice on direct ad sales, you might try the Advertising Sales and Affiliate Programs forum at:
